According to police, on Thursday a 16-year-old pupil died after falling from a foot-over bridge on the Wazirabad road in northeast Delhi.

At approximately 1:45 pm on Wednesday, the event occurred while the boy was making his way back to his home to Ghaziabad. He was brought to the GTB Hospital with several serious injuries, and once reaching, the medical staff pronounced him deceased.
"He suffered major injuries after falling from a height of approximately six meters onto the road below," said Joy Tirkey, the deputy commissioner of police for the northeast. Police came to know that the youngster was resting on a railing before he slipped out the of railing, according to information provided by his classmate, who was there when the incident took place, the officer stated.
Under Sections 336 (act endangering life or personal safety of others) and 304A (causing death by negligence) of the Indian Penal Code, police have filed a formal complaint against the relevant authority.
According to the authorities, the accident occurred as the boy was resting his hand over the guardrail, but a part of the guardrail wasn't on its place, was missing. According to the authorities, the youngster fell from a height of six meters. He passed away right on the spot.
Joy N Tirkey, DCP (Northeast) said “We were told that a 16-year-old boy from a government school in the Mandoli area who was found injured under the foot-over bridge at Wazirabad road. The call regarding the incident was made by the surrounding local residents around 1:45 pm.
